About:

Mindstreams, created by NeuroTrax,is our advanced cognitive testing system, a solution for medical professionals (Psychologists & Physicians) offering advanced neuro cognitive testing for dementias, like Alzheimer's Disease. Testing requires under one hour of total patient testing time, and produces a report that is delivered to the physician in seconds. Our process is meant to replace a process where the patient would be referred out to a specialist and then had to wait, for as long as 6 months, to get an office visit with a specialist and then would undergo an average of 6-8hrs of face to face testing with a specialist(Neuro Psychologist).

NeuroTrax Corporation is requesting brilliance for a creative project that will set the stage for a second request for brilliance for a video demonstration of our solution. The initial project will be for a page of graphic design to be used for both print and digital media. The graphic design should encompass as much of the company's strengths, goals, and benefits as possible giving potential clients and patients a good visual understanding of the product. Please see attached Assessment Battery Order Sheet which will give the agent an understanding of the breadth of the product across disease states. Also, please see the attached Global (our most encompassing assessment)Assessment Report which will give the agent an understadning of the information that a medical professional will gain about their patients cognitive health. This will help elicit the thoughts of the science that Mindstreamns offers medical professionals.

Lastly, as the agent is designing the graphics it is important to consider that NeuroTrax would like the final work to appeal to medical professionals and caretakers (spouses, siblings, children) alike as caretakers may go out on line and research our product and then call the physician.

Company/Brand/Product Background:

The product, Mindstreams, is an advanced computerized assessment software system. Medical professionals (Neurologists, Geriatric Medicine Physicians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists) will determine if a patient needs neuropsychiatric testing after an initial clinical interview. Common reasons for the testing would be memory, attention, planning, organization deficits compared to what a patient is used to in their healthier past activities of daily living. Once selected for use in a patient testing session Mindstreams empowers the medical professional to understand what cognitive domains of the patients brain are either normal (compared to our normative database stratified by age and education) or statistically different from their peer group (for age and education.) This empowers the medical professional to design a specific treatment plan for the patient to improve quality of life through medication delivery, brain training, or other more advanced surgical methods.

Marketing Objectives:

Brand Positioning through the graphic messaging that reinforces the brand footprint described below. The NeuroTrax logo is off limits for design work, but everything else is open. The outcome of the graphic design work will be used for advertising, brochures, direct mail, trade show graphics, web site, etc.

Our current positioning statement for NeuroTrax is "Know Your Brain. Test It. Treat it." The logo is set for NeuroTrax as a company and is available here in the "Creative Elements" section. Any other graphics or images are all up for revision, don't let any graphics you see on line or elsewhere for NeuroTrax bias you in ANY way. Note: the color selection for the graphic design should align well with the colors in the company logo so the end product is asthetically pleasing.

The brand footprint we would like to realize consists of three items:

  • Mindstreams offers the most sophisticated science (we have done over 100 publications, 22 are peer reviewed validating our product, over the past 7 years.)
  • Mindstreams is the most practical for patients and physicians. The product actually has adaptive testing features to adjust for eyesight, if patient cannot read the words, the program switches to non-verbal testing, colorblindness (program will remove color dependent questions), poor effort (program will note this for the medical professional, including apathy), failed practice (removes test if practice session is failed), great effort (program removes tests in a series if patients ace the first tests).
  • Mindstreams empowers the medical professional to improve the patient's quality of life through advanced cognitive testing. Medications can now be tailored, no guessing and no waiting, brain training can be targeted to the area of concern (memory, attention, planning & organization, etc...) The doctor looks like a hero compared to the past, having to wait for 6 months to help the patient.
  • The designs submitted should reinforce these three parts of the brand footprint.

    A demo is available here to see how the product works.

    NeuroTrax can provide much more detail as needed to empower the agent to reinforce the brand footprint in this graphical design, please ask questions below.

    Houston, We have a Question...

    Q&A for this creative brief

    Logo etc
    Posted by JohnnyA on 5.28.08

    Does a logo exist for "Mindstreams"?
    If not, is it in the mandate to create one?
    About size: Would 8.5" x 11" be acceptable?
    Is there specific text I should use,
    or do I pick and choose from the text in the brief?

    Thanks!!!

    @ Logo etc...
    Posted by Drew on 5.28.08

    There is no logo, not mandatory to create one, if you do it should not be the main focus of the creation. (ie the design should be complete without it).
    8.5x11 should be fine. The design should not be terribly text heavy (meaning that, again, your submission should not require the text to be complete.).

    This should be a visual representation of the information.
    Thanks!

    Posted by aldojacobo on 5.28.08

    Is there another a way to download the log and PDFs? I tried using Safari and firefox, and I can't get access to them. Thank you.

    Me again!
    Posted by JohnnyA on 5.28.08

    Last question I promise!!!!
    So if I'm understanding this correctly it's more "illustrative" than, let's say, an ad promoting and explaining in detail what the product does?

    @ Asset Files...
    Posted by Drew on 5.28.08

    We'll check'em out and see what the issue is.
    Thanks!

    @ Me again...
    Posted by Drew on 5.28.08

    That is correct, this should be kept as visual as possible. (Illustrative)
    Thanks!

    Logo
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 5.30.08

    Let me add to Drew's helpful comments. With respect to the Logo it is important to note that the NeuroTrax Logo is set. However, we are open to a logo for Mindstreams if you would like to submit this as part of the overall graphical design requested.

    Me Again
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 5.30.08

    Drew is correct, visual graphics that convey our brand footprint from the brief. This could be accomplished in many different creative approaches. We want to see as many of those approaches as possible that position our messaging correctly. The primary audience is the medical professional, just be conscious that a consumer (caregiver to a patient, like a sibling, spouse, child) would want to resonate with it as well so it can't be too complex in nature that a consumer wouldn't get it as well. .

    clearing up
    Posted by blakeissuarez on 6.04.08

    this is the first time i've worked on a project here, and i'm a bit confused. it seems like this site is primarily based on time-based media, like animations or video.

    this project isn't going in that direction as i have read above, and you want the design to be able to print on a 8.5x11 piece of paper...
    is this all correct?
    thanks and sorry for the repeat.
    i'm still confused about the whole process is all.

    @ Clearing Up
    Posted by Drew on 6.04.08

    GeniusRocket is about the creation of ALL forms of media, and lately graphic design has been VERY popular.
    This campaign is for a "full spread" graphic design that can be used on 8.5"x11" magazine style ads, tri-fold brochures, and large conference style banners.
    Thanks!

    battery order sheet
    Posted by blakeissuarez on 6.04.08

    is the battery order sheet to be filled out prior to examination? is it something that patients fill out with their assumptions or prior knowledge, or is it filled out by the doctor after examination?

    last question
    Posted by blakeissuarez on 6.04.08

    also... :)

    is there any way to submit pdfs when we are done?

    or do we have to upload our images onto a video?

    sorry for all of the questions.

    @battery order sheet
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 6.05.08

    The physician fills out the battery order sheet after his/her original clinical patient interview. The doctor suspects disease at that point after the patient interview (first doctor appt.) and selects the battery he/she feels is most appropriate. Then the patient comes back for another appointment and the testing.

    @last question
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 6.05.08

    A PDF is fine. Video is not required for this project. There will be a video project that is separate that will follow after this project. For now it is purely a graphical illustrative design project. The design and resulting imaging will convey our message and brand positioning and become the backdrop for all future brand messaging including videos.

    is it a picture
    Posted by denzel1322 on 6.09.08

    so we are creating a picture about the objectives right

    @is it a picture
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 6.09.08

    The project is a "graphical design" project. The image generated will in essence be a picture. It is NOT Video and should NOT be animated. The image will be used for our messaging related to the brand footprint addressed above. I hope this answers your question. Good luck.

    layout in general
    Posted by monirae on 6.11.08

    Hi! I have a question regarding the overall layout. So it is supposed to be 8 1/2 x 11? (No other sizes?) And is this layout only 1 page as a 1 sided or 2 sided project or can it be numerous pages. Are we supposed to allow for any type of margins or fold lines? That's all the questions I have for now! Thanks!

    @layout in general
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 6.11.08

    Great question. Our intent is to multi-purpose this core branding design element throughout multiple branding efforts. For instance we may use it for, a two page (four sides) brochure, trade show booth panels (one image across several panels OR just one panel), a backdrop for Advertisements in journals, a backdrop for educational material pieces, a backdrop for a video project (that we will embark on next) etc. So, as a creator you need to consider the fact that the graphics you design will be used for multiple branding efforts which will require multiple sizes as NeuroTrax embarks on those different projects. We would desire to work with the creator from Genious Rocket forward if the creator would agree to develop the images for the appropriate size and project after the award is granted. For that reason, 8.5x11 seems a good target for this work as it covers our needs for advertisements, educational pieces and our brochure needs. We are open to your creativity and breadth of submission in relations to sizes (panels) and quality (video purposing) taking the needs above into consideration. I hope this helps.

    1 Presentation

    1 Would you prefer the submission in landscape or portrait format?

    2 Do you want to see the NeuroTrax logo incorporated into the design?

    Thank you

    @presentation
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 6.16.08

    On presentation we would prefer it in Landscape. Regarding the NeuroTrax logo, yes it would be nice to see it incorporated into the design. Thanks for asking and good luck!

    Posted by aelorae on 6.17.08

    Would you prefer to recieve submissions though the mindstreams@geniusrocket email or the launch it submission form?
    Thank you

    @submission
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 6.17.08

    Good question. I am not sure of a benefit of the launch it submission form over email. So why don't we go with the genius rocket email and save the launch it for any final submission to assure protocol is followed for your sake. Maybe Andrew can shed some light here?

    @ Submission
    Posted by Drew on 6.17.08

    All submissions for this RFB should be submitted via e-mail only. Do not use the launch it button. As of right now the launch it only accepts video, so these graphic designs should be e-mailed.
    Thanks!

    Can we incorporate stock photography in our design?

    @Landon
    Posted by NeuroTrax on 6.24.08

    Yes, stock photography that is not restricted is fine.

    stock photos
    Posted by absi586 on 6.24.08

    As far as stock photography goes, do we actually have to purchase the stock photography now or can we use a temporary fill just in case our work isn't chosen? For instance a photo with a watermark embedded. Some stock photography is expensive and to purchase it before knowing if our work is chosen is quite the investment. Please let me know. Thank you.

    @ Stock Photos
    Posted by Drew on 6.24.08

    Please just use them with the watermark, if you are selected purchasing decisions can be made.
    Thanks!

    Posted by joe_three on 6.26.08

    I just submitted my entries via email. Just a suggestion, I think GeniusRocket should have an auto-reply system to acknowledge that you received our RFB entry. This will keep us from wondering if you got our email.

    A patient that saves money or a doctor who earns more?
    any aspect or positive economic return to using this software?

    My email address is katelynd.heuts@gmail.com. I sent it the 26 of June and the email title is labeled 'Mindstream Poster + Extra Submission'. The zipfile I sent it in is labeled 'Mindstreams_Katelynd_Heuts'

    I had sent it to mindstreams@geniusrocket.com. I was certain in sending it to that address? I'm sorry for the confusion.

    Sorry if that wasn't clear, but the announcement we expect any day now will be on a selection. If there wasn't going to be a selection at all we wouldn't wait a week to announce :)
    Thanks!

    Thank You For The Confirmation
    Posted by Xette on 7.25.08

    Thanks for the confirmation but I am still not sure if they received my entry. I posted the details of my entry above. If you could, I would love to hear if it had been received.

    Mindstreams/Neurotrax
    Posted by Drew on 8.09.08

    We should be able to announce something on this RFB this coming week. Sorry for the delay, there was a short extension on this RFB and then the client has 30 days to choose (this period is up at the end of this week).

    Thanks!

    alright, thanks for the update. i'll check back later this week.

    Still wondering?
    Posted by Xette on 8.15.08

    I still haven't received confirmation if my selection has been received by Neurotrax or Genius Rocket. I know there is suppose to be an announcement sometime this week. Supposedly that's by today or tomorrow but I've heard this before. The first time I asked if my submission had been received was June 27th and I still haven't gotten an answer.
