Every Candidate Wins in the GeniusRocket Primary
BETHESDA, Md. – GeniusRocket, the on line platform for user-generated advertising, is sponsoring a presidential primary with cash prizes for the best positive campaign ads made by members of its creative community.
In this competition, the emerging talent of GeniusRocket will give political professionals a run for the money with a unique twist on the 30 second ad. Each submission must be a positive 30-second video, an affirmative statement of support for one of the declared presidential contenders. No negative ads will be accepted.
GeniusRocket, a company that links the talent of its creative community members with advertisers for customized advertising, is attempting to transform advertising forever by harnessing the power of the Internet. GeniusRocket is challenging its creators to produce ads for any of the 17 declared Democratic and Republican presidential candidates. Members of the on-line community will vote on the best ads for each candidate. For example, ads for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton will compete against other Clinton ads while ads for Republican Rudy Giuliani will compete against Giuliani ads. The winner of each of the 17 separate contests will receive a $1,000 prize.
"Many Americans complain politics is too negative. We are confident GeniusRocket creators will show it is possible to be positive and effective at the same time," said Mark Walsh, the Internet pioneer and company CEO. "In the GeniusRocket primary, every candidate is a winner."
Those registered as members of the GeniusRocket community will make and judge the presidential primary spots. Registration is free at www.GeniusRocket.com. The 30 second spots submitted for each candidate can be viewed on line during two rounds of competition. Submissions are due by Friday, November 30. A panel of judges will select finalists based upon the ratings given each ad by the community and by the ad’s creativity and effectiveness. The finalists will move onto the second round in early December. The community vote will determine the winning entries for each candidate.
GeniusRocket links members of its creative community to companies and other advertisers to solve real world advertising and marketing challenges. Internet industry pioneers joined veterans of Vermont Governor Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential campaign to create the company this year. Deans’ was the first presidential campaign to successfully use the Internet to organize supporters and raise record amounts of campaign contributions.
GeniusRocket is a unique platform that brings real advertising and marketing needs to its creative community of film makers, actors, writers, cinematographers, photographers and designers in Requests for Brilliance. The ads that best meet the creative brief receive cash awards. Creators have a second chance to win cash by drawing the highest scores from members of the GeniusRocket community in monthly Rocket awards.
GeniusRocket is building a creative community of young professional and emerging creative talent with experience and interest in marketing and advertising to produce professional, polished user-generated advertising which meets the needs of advertisers and brand managers. The web site also provides a platform for social interaction so creators can network, exchange information and views and organize teams to work on advertising projects.
GeniusRocket is a private company not affiliated or coordinated with any presidential campaign or any political party. The partisan activity of any of its founders is completely separate from the company and none of those founders will be involved in the judging of this competition.
