Kick It! GeniusRocket Announces New Heinz Poppers RFB

Are you ready to pop your creativity up to the next level?

GeniusRocket is pleased to announce our new RFB from Heinz Poppers.

Undoubtedly, you've had a Jalapeño popper at least once in your life. These Poppers, however, are the original breaded and fried, cheese-filled jalapeños -- and they're also the #1 brand of stuffed jalapeños snacks in America.

And now, the good people at Heinz Poppers are turning to your creative genius to help launch their "Just the Right Kick" viral marketing campaign. They are looking for 30-60 second videos to use as viral marketing pieces, with distribution primarily through Social Networking Sites.

From the RFB:

We are taking back what it means to be a jalapeño snack by dialing our heat level up to “Just the Right Kick”. We are looking for a creative way to talk about our brand and this new product news that incorporates our youthful, fun, and maybe not for everyone brand character.

Our “Just the Right Kick” product is hitting Club shelves in July ’08 and can be expected to reach retail this coming fall. Successful submissions could include a call to action (i.e. "Look for it in Sam's Club", or "Coming soon to grocery store everywhere this fall").

This is a great RFB that inspires you to think outside the box. The target consumer is "jalapeños enthusiasts of any age," with key demographics being primarily families of four or more people, with a head of household between the ages of 25 and 54 and higher than average income of $50k+ per year.

And it's a fun product that encourages submissions that are "fun & exciting, young but not immature, and somewhat exclusive (though not in a superior way)."

As the RFB suggests, think along the lines of:

  • Explosive: Alive!
  • Youthful but not juvenile
  • Exciting
  • Colorful, but not kid-like
  • Exclusive: not for everyone

The deadline for your submission is May 10th, but it behooves you to submit early; Brand Managers at Heinz Poppers will review your submission and provide feedback, if necessary, if you submit prior to April 25th.

Read the whole RFB here, and good luck!
