ASSOCIATE WEB DEVELOPER
Salary Range: $50k-$60k

Genius Rocket is searching for a multi-talented technologist to join our team of online enthusiasts in an engaging, exciting media-centric online start-up. This position involves the development of innovative, reusable Web-based tools for creative collaboration between artistic talent, as well as the development and support of in-house tools to help enable us to support our projects.

Our technical team works closely with their programmatic counterparts to develop specifications and make recommendations on the use of new and emerging technologies. Programming, systems administration and database management are all elements of this position.

What you’ll need:

• BS in computer science or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
• 2 years minimum experience with HTML/XHTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with the UNIX environment and shell scripting
• 1 year minimum Web programming experience, including PHP, ASP or JSP.
• Self-starter with strong self-management skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

Other things we get excited about:

• Development experience using extensible web authoring tools.
• Experience developing and implementing open source software projects.
• UNIX shell experience and a working knowledge of Subversion, CVS or related tools.
• Knowledge of open source software development platforms (Drupal a plus)
• Experience with AJAX a plus.
• A sense of humor!
